Born into agriculture on her parent's ranch in Colorado, Amelia Kent is a fourth-generation farmer who started her own farm in Amite, Louisiana, immediately after graduating from college 12 years ago. On Kent Farms, located in Clinton, Louisiana, Amelia and her husband, Russell, raise cattle and the family grows ryegrass, Bermuda grass, perennial (forage) peanuts, and Bahia grass.
Amelia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Religion from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She and her husband Russell live in Louisiana.
