Jamila, a.k.a (Farmer J), is a first-generation daughter of Caribbean parents whose history is rooted in agriculture. She is an internationally recognized urban farmer, food activist, and mother based in Atlanta, GA. Jamila is a University of Georgia graduate with a degree in Environmental Engineering. After ten years in her professional career, Jamila fully committed to operating her independent, organic urban farm, Patchwork City Farms, which she founded in 2010.
You will find her serving her community, working with and advocating for other farmers, and launching food, health, wellness, and Yoga initiatives. She is passionate about her work to contribute to a healthy economy for all.
